The real estate narrative during the pandemic has been characterized by rising prices, tight inventory, and of people with the ability to work remotely leaving city-life for more room in the suburbs and exurbs.  This last point- leaving the city for the ‘burbs- is clearly a pandemic desire revealed.

And now some buyers, who acted on the seemingly irresistible urge to buy in what for many was a completely new and unknown area, are having costly second thoughts.

Has the pandemic-related real estate trend been overplayed?  Real estate listings in favored markets abound with houses priced at record highs with offers being made above listing prices, sometimes in a matter of days… how many folks will regret their decision?  Was there perhaps a rush to judgement?
