Here, analysts at the Atlanta Fed review this very issue.  There is growing optimism about an economic recovery from the closures prevalent during the pandemic.  That optimism extends to the business leaders surveyed in ‘The CFO Survey’- a collaboration of the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and Richmond and the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.

However, it looks like the recently passed stimulus package ‘will have only a modest impact on their own future business activity’, according to the Atlanta Fed Macroblog commentary on the results of the CFO survey.  So why did we pass a record breaking $1.9 Trillion Stimulus?  It’s a good question, but it wasn’t for stimulus of the economy as they stated.
